Garmin Venu Sq review

Now that I’ve been cleared from my surgeries I couldn’t be more excited to get back into a workout routine! When COVID hit earlier this year, I obviously couldn’t go to the gym so I started walking almost every single day. Honestly, being forced to slow down was the best thing that could’ve happened to me this year. I now go out to White Rock Lake in Dallas almost every morning for a 3.5 mile walk which has helped my stress levels tremendously. By going on my morning walk, it allows me to put my phone away and unplug so I’m ready to tackle the day. By getting into this routine I’ve been so much more productive and less anxious!

I used to wear a smartwatch all the time… However, I stopped wearing one this year because all of the notifications were almost making my stress levels higher. Also, I started feeling guilty if I wasn’t hitting my goals each day. Then when I started walking daily I wanted to track my milage so I decided it was time to start wearing one again. That’s when I found the Garmin Venu Sq!

The biggest reason I chose the Garmin Venu Sq smartwatch was because it has a stress tracking feature! When you hit high stress levels it prompts you with relax reminders telling you to do a short breathing exercise. I love this because it makes me step away from my computer or whatever I’m doing and chill out.

A few other features I really like are the women’s health tracking feature and the hydration tracking. With the women’s health tracking feature you can track your menstrual cycle right on your watch! Also, with the hydration tracking you can set a goal for hydration that adjusts based on how much you sweat during a workout. I need this because I definitely do NOT drink enough water!

The Garmin Venu Sq is also super lightweight which I really really like and comes in several colors! This is a great gift for anyone on your list this year!
