HELLO YELLOW // SPRING COLOR TREND

Hello yellow! Have you all noticed this gorgeous color popping up all over the place?! I personally love the color since yellow is the color of “one small blonde”. When I started seeing the yellow spring color trend everywhere I didn’t jump on board right away. As a blonde, sometimes it’s hard to wear yellow because it blends with my hair and I usually need to be really tan… But, once I found this yellow maxi dress I was hooked on the trend. So if you are a blonde (or even if you’re not!) and wondering how to pull off this pretty color here are a few ideas! First off, accessorize with other bright colors. I have a pair of turquoise beaded earrings that would be a perfect way to give some contrast between my hair and the dress. I think turquoise, hot pink or a pretty green are always good colors to pair with yellow.

Another way to accessorize is with a bold shoe or colorful clutch. I carried this fun blue printed clutch last night with the dress, and I’ll probably be wearing the same outfit next weekend to my friends wedding in Scottsdale. Actually…if you are looking for a wedding guest dress this spring then I say step out of your comfort zone and be bold with a yellow dress!

If you’re anything like me, I love wearing maxi dresses during the spring and summer months. They are so easy and effortless for any occasion. Seriously… I wore this dress to a happy hour in Deep Ellum at Stirr a few weeks ago where we took these photos. It’s great because it is one of those dresses that can be causal for old fashions with your friends or dressy for a wedding!
