SPRING WORKWEAR

Thank goodness spring is finally here! The warmer weather always puts me in a better mood no matter what’s going on in my life, and recently things haven’t been so great. It’s crazy how much a little bit of Vitamin D can make a difference in your mood.

Luckily, I don’t have to go into an office everyday for work but I am stuck behind a computer most of the day. So my new spring challenge is to make myself get up and go for a short walk outside everyday. I mean I should be doing this anyway because I’m sure my pups need it haha. But seriously… If you’ve been in the winter slump lately then I challenge you to get outside for at least 10 min a day and see what happens to your mood.

Another way to change your mood is changing your wardrobe! It’s springtime so it’s time to mix in some more color and print to your style. Obviously you won’t see me wearing any hot pink, but one of my favorite spring trends is a good pair of olive green pants. These tie waist ankle pants from Ann Taylor fit soooooo good! Plus, how perfect are they for the office?!

Now I tend to keep things pretty simple with a pair of pants like these so I always go for a cute white blouse. But, floral prints are also one of the easiest trends to incorporate into your spring wardrobe. You may remember my other post with Ann Taylor a few weeks ago about how to incorporate floral prints at work. The reason I love the floral prints at Ann Taylor right now is because they are very subtle and don’t use super big or bright colors/patterns.

If you don’t wear a ton of floral print like me you could easily tie this floral scarf around your purse. Although, it would also look so cute around your neck tied in a knot around your chest area. I love it because of the deep green and lighter pink tones. It’s just enough to give this outfit a perfect touch of spring!

But if you do love a good floral print then Ann Taylor has this same print in a floral dress and floral top!! I can’t say it enough, but if you need some new work clothes that can also transition into your everyday wardrobe then Ann Taylor is your place to go!

Losing an hour of sleep over the weekend was not ideal, but the fact that spring is right around the corner is! We’ve had a handful of spring-like days here in Dallas, and I’m ready for the warmer weather to stick around. I’m also ready to leave my coat in the closet, and trade it…
