It’s not pilates. It’s Lagree. Duh. Just kidding… I’m sure some of you are wondering what the heck is lagree? Yes, it is very similar to pilates. But it’s better. If you’ve ever taken a pilates class before then I’m sure you know this is one of the hardest workouts EVER.

I started taking classes at One Lagree last fall and quickly became obsessed. Like I said, it’s the hardest workout I’ve done without breaking a crazy sweat. Basically, it’s a series of small movements on the reformer machine that you’d never think would make you so sore. The entire workout targets your core which is why I love it so much. Anyone else have issues with getting a flat stomach?! Then you’ve gotta try this workout!

It has two platforms on the front and back of the machine with a sliding platform in the middle. Plus, the middle platform is spring loaded so it’s basically like using weights. Beware…doing a lot of exercises on the back platform is intense!

My butt has never burned so bad (in a good way) during any other workout I’ve tried. Actually, there are muscles on my body I never knew could be sore. It’s the first workout where my stomach felt sore afterwords. Apparently I have good core muscles, but I just can’t get rid of that darn fat layer on top!

After doing One Lagree for the last few months I’ve noticed a tremendous difference with my overall body strength. I went to yoga last week, and noticed how much my balance had strengthened. Then I went to a HIIT class, and noticed I wasn’t dying during the abs and arms section.

Normally, I really like a workout where I come out dripping in sweat. I quickly realized that doesn’t need to be the case. One Lagree’s low impact workout gives your muscles a slow twitch that will work your body harder than you’ve ever imagined. If you don’t believe me I dare you to try a class for yourself!
