It’s time to get spooky! I’m not one to decorate a lot for Halloween, but I’m always one to decorate my bar cart for the occasion! I’m sure many of you already have your decor up around the house… But, if you’re looking for a few last minute items to make your Halloween party complete then here are some of my favorite items. First thing first… spooky skull cocktail glasses (another option here).
I usually go trick-or-treating with my best friend and her kids in the suburbs on Halloween, but that doesn’t mean the adults don’t get to have fun too. That’s why I always make these apple cider old fashioned drinks! It’s super easy and if you aren’t a big whiskey drinker it gives this drink a nice sweetness to it. However, in case we need a backup there is always wine…
APPLE CIDER OLD FASHIONED
1 shot whiskey or rye
1 shot apple cider
1 drop maple syrup
3 drops bitters
1 orange slice
1 cinnamon stick
I start with the maple syrup in the bottom of the glass. Add your large ice cube next. Then pour in whisky, apple cider, and bitters. Stir slowly until mixed together. Garnish with orange slice and cinnamon stick. *I usually burn the cinnamon stick a little to give it a smoky flavor!
My Halloween Bar Cart
If you’re ever in a pinch for cheap holiday decor, I always find great stuff in the front section at Target. Like, how cute are these “trick-or-treat” lights??
Who is dressing up for Halloween?! I’m not 100% sure that I’ll go all out with a costume because I basically play dress up every day with the blog 😉 I’m usually a witch or black cat, and I’m totally okay with it. What are you going to be??
