Happy Holiday’s y’all!!
My friend Rhonda created a Dallas holiday city guide with all of her favorite things to do around the city and I started thinking… I’ve been getting this question a LOT so I decided to do the same! I’ve lived here for 13-years so I don’t know why I haven’t created one of these sooner. I guess I did just launch my “Dallas Restaurant Guide” this year… I’ve got a mental list of my absolute “must-do” holiday activities so here are the best festive holiday things to do this season!
DALLAS HOLIDAY EVENT GUIDE 2018
WHAT TO SEE
HIGHLAND PARK VILLAGE
My absolute favorite place in Dallas during the holidays! The lights are seriously the best in town. Just go take a stroll or book a carriage ride through the neighborhood. I’ve never been on a carriage ride, and keep saying the guy that takes me on one I’m going to marry…
DALLAS ARBORETUM 12-DAYS OF CHRISTMAS
So much fun to stroll through with hot cocoa! I went on a date one year and it was such a great idea for something to do besides grab drinks.
ENCHANT CHRISTMAS LIGHTS
On the top of my list this year! A HUGE light display in Arlington that looks magical.
CHRISTMAS MOVIE AT ALAMO DRAFTHOUSE
Elf Holiday Party – multiple dates & times
Love Actually – multiple dates & times
BISHOP ARTS DISTRICT
Jingle Bells on Bishop – December 7-9th
Poinsettia Walk – December 9th 12-3pm
Bass Performance Hall – multiple showings until December 24th
December 22nd at 3pm & 8pm
WHERE TO EAT & DRINK
DECK THE HALL STREET COFFEE
The cutest Christmas pop-up coffee shop with fun drinks for all!
MONKEY BAR AT MI COCINA
(Upstairs @ Highland Park Village)
It’s super small, but it’s so worth it for an amazing view of Highland Park Village lights! Just go early or on a weekday. I have a requirement to go at least 2 times during the season.
Also, a requirement on my list to go at least 2 times during the holidays! They have the cutes sign on the side street wall where I always take a picture with our friends each year.
LEELA’S WINE BAR
Just because it’s festive and I love wine 🙂
RISE NO 1
Great for a dinner with family because soufflé’s are soooo good!
Surprisingly I’ve never had drinks at the bar but it’s been “a spot” in Dallas for forever. They have the prettiest display of white Christmas trees this year and I am going for sure!
