Happy Friday! I’ve had so many requests from you all to start doing posts focused around Dallas. So….today I’m starting a new series called “New & Now” which will feature local spots that I’ve been trying out and think you should too! It’ll be anything from restaurants, boutiques, workout studios and more! I’d also love to know about any spots you think I should try out 🙂

BAM BEAUTY BAR

Okay so starting things off is BAM Beauty Bar in West Village. Talk about decor goals… This place is not only gorgeous, but they are pretty darn good at hair styling and makeup. If you’ve followed me for a while you know I do NOT talk about hair lightly. I’m very very very picky when it comes to someone else doing my hair… After all, I have my own hair curling tutorial so you better get it right. But they totally do! I’ve been to about 5 different stylists, and super happy with every one of them!!

UP ON KNOX

You may have seen my Insta stories from Up On Knox because this place is my new favorite neighborhood spot. It’s a super stylish restaurant that’s perfect for date night or girls night out, but be sure to make a reservation. Or if you’re looking for a great new brunch spot, I went a few weeks ago with my friends and their mimosas are perfectly priced. Also, the lobster roll I got was soooo delish!!!

BARRY’S BOOTCAMP

Oh Barry’s… I’m all about a good HIIT training class and Barry’s is my new favorite fo sho!! I know it looks super intimidating, but I promise it’s not that bad. I’ve been going on Friday mornings because it’s the full-body class. Each day they focus on a different area of your body, and on weekends it’s full-body. You go back and forth on the treadmill to floor exercises for about 45 minutes. Every instructor does it differently so you might be on the treadmill for 8 minutes the first time and 12 minutes the second time. I’m telling you if you only want to workout a few days a week and feel really good about yourself then you must try Barry’s Bootcamp!

VIVIAN’S SPA

This adorable spa is right down the street from me!! I’ve posted several times about Vivian’s Spa, but I need to get back into my nail routine and schedule an appointment soon! Not only is this the cutest boutique spa I’ve ever been to, but their services are top notch. My gel manicures last a good 2-weeks and don’t get me started on their massages. I’ve had a massage or two in my day, and this one was definitely in my “Top 5” for sure. The massage therapist was so informative after my treatment giving me some stretches and tips to do at home so things didn’t go back to normal in my body. Oh, the best part… You can add on a scalp treatment which feels heavenly. I might book another appointment now just thinking about it!

UCHIBA

This fun new spot is right above Uchi which makes sense considering the name! If you love Asian food then Uchiba should go to the top of your list. I went for my friend Rhonda’s, Dallas Blogger Brunch, and even though I’m not a big fan of Asian cuisine I have to say it was amazing. The avocado toast was my absolute favorite, and they put an Asian twist on chicken and waffles! I’m 100% planning on going back for dinner ASAP! It’s a great spot for special occasions, but maybe not your weekly “go-to” spot.

Those are my favorite “New & Now” spots in Dallas! Stay tuned for more to come, and another foodie series starting soon 🙂 Please share your thoughts below, and send me some recommendations on places to try!
