Happy Fall Y’all! Okay so it sure doesn’t feel like fall here in Texas, but I’ve been praying hard for the real fall temps to get here ASAP. My birthday is just a few weeks away and it’s always a toss up if it’ll actually be cool or not. My favorite thing to do for my birthday is going to pick out pumpkins. I just wish I could sip hot cider or a PSL while I pick out my pumpkins instead of possibly sweating, haha. My other favorite thing to do is sit outside on a patio by a fire and watch football or just hang with friends. Watching the leaves fall only lasts about 2 weeks here so gotta make the most of it!
Also, fall is the season of events in my life. Anyone else? That’s why today I wanted to cover 5 fall fashion trends that should be on your radar. I love fall clothes because of the rich colors like burgundy, olive, mustard yellow, or a deep camel. These are totally my vibes all day long. Another MAJOR fall trend is obviously animal print specifically leopard print for fall. Check out my latest post on all things leopard print.
5 FALL FASHION TRENDS
But what else is on the radar? Moody florals. Plaid blazers. Rich fall colors like burgundy, mustard, and camel. And, lots of suede! The one fall trend I don’t know if I can get on board with…western. I dunno it’s never been my thing. Maybe because I grew up with too much of it in Oklahoma and then moving here to Texas. But, to each their own!
What are moody florals? Basically, dark floral print. Someone just decided to get fancy, and they were probably a “moody” person. I totally LOVE it though! Personally, I don’t wear bright colors (obvi) and I don’t wear a lot of prints so this is right up my alley. I wasn’t sure about this dress when I ordered it, but OMG… It’s amazing. I could wear it the entire fall season.
RICH COLORS : BURGUNDY, YELLOW, AND CAMEL
Once again, I don’t wear a lot of bold colors or prints but fall is my season! I love all the rich colors of fall like burgundy, mustard yellow, olive green, and the most popular color this fall… Camel. Or, as Pantone is calling it: Sugar Almond. Anyway, when I found this yellow leopard camisole I didn’t even hesitate to buy it. Now, this quilted purse is also a little bit out of my wheel house but it’s got ALL the fall colors making it the perfect accessory for those of us who don’t like to wear a lot of color.
A good plaid blazer is always a fall fashion staple. It’s versatile for almost any work environment but even great for a chill night out. I found this brown plaid blazer for under $35! A few other ways I’d wear this blazer would be with a simple black dress and sneakers or a burgundy/plum dress with tan ankle strap sandals. I definitely wear more black than brown, but the nice thing is you can wear them together!
Do I really need to say much about this trend? If you haven’t picked up on the fact that animal print is an absolute MUST this season then you might be hiding under a rock. It’s EVERYWHERE. I’m not complaining at all… I love it. It’s for a sure a neutral in my wardrobe. I love this leopard midi skirt because it’s not a typical leopard color or print.
It’s all about textures with suede. It’s my personal favorite because it’s soft and always looks gorgeous. Like how amazing is this suede trench coat?! I walked past it last week at the mall, and immediately turned around. If you aren’t feeling the long suede coat then a good suede staple is a suede moto jacket. I wear mine so much throughout fall and winter!
