HOW TO WEAR VELVET AT WORK

Walking into Monday like… This week is going to be much better! I’ve been super stressed lately for a few reasons (work and personal), but I finally feel like things are on the “up and up”. Although, I feel like I blinked and it’s now October?! I swear it was still summer yesterday. Oh wait… That’s because it still feels like summer here. Guess I won’t be able to wear this amazing velvet blazer or skirt anytime soon. I definitely won’t be wearing this sweater anytime soon, but I could wear the velvet midi skirt with a cute graphic tee and sneakers right now!

Everyone is all about the midi skirt this year, but with fall approaching we can swap the silk for velvet. Banana Republic has some beautiful velvet pieces that would be great items to add into your fall workwear wardrobe. I personally love velvet because it makes a statement without much thought. We know leopard is another huge fall trend, but sometimes leopard can be a bit much for some ladies. However, velvet is one easy way to amp up your wardrobe and keep things subtle.

One of the easiest ways to wear velvet to work is with a classic blazer. I have a black velvet blazer that I wear all the time during the fall.
