Good morning! I’m already one coffee down this Monday morning… What about you? My week hasn’t started off that great as I fell down an escalator yesterday in NYC. My right leg is all bandaged up so doesn’t look like I’ll be wearing a lot of pants unless it’s these wide leg pants I just got on the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale. I can wear dresses like my favorite white dress I have been wearing non-stop lately because it can be worn so many different ways! How cute does it look dressed up with this tweed jacket for a great “work wear” outfit?!
If you’re a follower then you may have seen my “work wear” series I started at the beginning of the year where I took one stylish work item and styled it a few different ways. Well, I haven’t been good about keeping up the series although it’s one you all really seemed to LOVE. So today I want to start again with 4 ways you can style a tweed jacket right now and moving into fall.
Anyone could wear this jacket with a black dress or black pants. So I wanted to try and give you some more creative and chic ways to wear it. We are in summer so I figured trade you should trade your LBD for a LWD. Then instead of basic black pants let’s do a fun wide leg tan pant! And, everyone owns a pencil skirt so I’m sharing two ways to wear the jacket with skirts like this burgundy pencil skirt and a black slip skirt.
Which is your favorite outfit?!
Tweed Jacket // Tory Burch Tote // Ivory Dress
4 WAYS TO STYLE A TWEED JACKET
Tweed Jacket // Relaxed Slacks // Chiffon Cami // Suede Satchel
Tweed Jacket // Leather Circle Crossbody // Chiffon Cami // Satin Skirt // Sandals
Tweed Jacket // Sandals // Pencil Skirt // V-Neck Tee
Depending on what your office dress code is I really think wearing a t-shirt tied up like I did with the burgundy skirt is so chic. Or, I love the graphic t-shirt and skirt trend! Also, this black skirt with the black camisole looks like a super cute dress. But, you can wear both pieces with so many more things in your wardrobe instead of buying just one black dress.
Normally it’s easy for me to pick a favorite outfit, but this one was hard! I loved all of them because I could see myself wearing each for a different work occasion. Some days I do wish I worked in an office so I had to make myself dress up everyday, ha. When I put myself together and look like a “boss babe” then I get so much more accomplished in the day.
I’ve felt a little frustrated with my career lately which I talked about a few weeks ago in this post. Things have gotten better, but I still need to get a lot of stuff in order so I can grow my business and get out of this rut. Maybe I’ll challenge myself to get dressed up for work every day next week since I’ll finally be home! Anyone up for the challenge?
P.S. If you need a new work tote this Tory Burch tote is my favorite work bag! It’s on major sale right now too. There is a middle pocket where you can easily fit your laptop.
