VELVET TREND

Happy Friday friends! I can’t believe it’s already the end of October, and we are celebrating Halloween this weekend? Seriously time has flown by this month. However, my busiest time of the year is approaching so these next few months will be gone in a blink!

Question… Who likes to dress up for Halloween? I’m talking about going all out with your costume. This used to be me back in high school and college. I’ve even kept a plastic bin full of random costume crap (you know…because you never know when you’ll need it?). These days, I feel like I play dress up every week with all the photoshoots I do ha! And, I’m not into the “sexy everything” costumes anymore. Can I get an “amen”?

This year I’m thinking I’ll be a black cat. Again…for the 100th time 😉 It’s just easy and always cute. Also, I recently bought this black velvet top and I want to wear it this weekend. Plus, the velvet feels like fur so it totally works! I’ve been wearing so much velvet lately, and I’ve noticed every time I have it on I catch myself petting my arm non-stop. I can’t help it! It’s freaking soft!

If it’s too cold this weekend for a short sleeve top then I’ll probably wear my black velvet blazer with a little black dress and over-the-knee boots. I wore this velvet jacket a few weeks ago for my Blogger Boss Workshop. There is something about putting on a blazer that makes me feel like a major girl boss. I always get sh*t done when I wear a blazer!
