Well, it’s been six months since I moved into my new house, and I still haven’t finished decorating…oops! I’ll be honest home décor is not really my thing because I’m very indecisive when it comes to designing. That’s why this is my second attempt to decorate my guest bedroom!

TARGET GUEST BEDROOM REFRESH

Originally, I thought I’d make this room the “color” room in my house because if you know me, I’m a big neutrals fan. Clearly, that lasted a long time. I had dark purple sheets and a colorful rug from Target in the guest room, but every time I walked into the room it just didn’t feel like me. Sooooo…. I decided to go back to what I love with new bedding from Target!

I’d been eyeing these Casaluna washed black pillows for my master bedroom for a while. This is actually the second time I’ve bought the pillows, haha. Since the bedframe is an off white, I decided on the washed black pillows with the matching black linen duvet cover. Probably NOT the smartest idea with a new dog who is white and sheds a lot, but oh well.

I truly love the Casaluna line from Target because the quality is pretty amazing. The white linen duvet is still on my bed in the master bedroom. Even with Charlie getting on it all the time it’s easy to wash and keep clean.

Now let’s talk sheets because that is one thing I’m very picky about! There are two things I look for when picking out sheets: softness and temperature control. I am a furnace when I sleep and keep the AC thermostat at 67 degrees when I sleep. Plus, I sleep with the ceiling fan on and a tower fan. Fair warning, if you stay at my house be prepared to bundle up at night! Sorry…not sorry. When I found these temperature control sheets at Target that don’t feel like sandpaper I bought a set for the guest room and my bedroom. This was by far the easiest home décor decision.

The photos above the bed were in my office, but I absolutely love them above the guest bed now. Eventually, I’d like to get matching bedside tables but for now the mix and match works. After all, I don’t really spend a lot of time in this room, so it doesn’t have to be perfect. That’s another reason why I get a LOT of my home décor items from Target. Everything is decently priced for the quality and it’s always extremely on trend.

I haven’t decided on a rug yet because Charlie is still in his chewing phase…so fun. Strangely enough, every time I go to Target, I walk down the rug aisle because I love all of their rugs. I have two little rugs in the kitchen and every time I post an IG story in my kitchen, I get several DM’s about the rugs. So funny to me, but they are super cute!

If you can’t tell, Charlie and Cooper really like the new guest room bedding since they match it so well! I’ve rounded up some other accessories that I’m probably going to buy so I can completely finish decorating one room in my house before I’m living there for a year, lol!
