Happy Friday friends! I’ve already had 4 meetings today so I’m ready to start the weekend! I’m sure a lot of you aren’t thinking about summer quite yet, but here in Texas we’ve already had a few summer like days. That’s why I want to talk about the best denim shorts for summer. I’m a jeans a t-shirt girl at my core, but when summer rolls around I have to ditch the jeans for shorts. Just like my jeans, I stick with the basics: blue denim, black denim, and white denim. I needed a new pair of each because I gained a few pounds (insert eye roll), or maybe I’m gaining muscle. Let’s go with that… So that’s why below you’ll find my favorite denim shorts for summer and the perfect casual t-shirt to wear with them!
DENIM CUTOFF SHORTS FOR SUMMER
When it comes to choosing jeans or shorts I always spend a bit more money because the quality is just better. That’s why I picked these denim shorts from Nordstrom. They always have the best variety of high and low options for those of you who don’t want to spend too much. At the moment, they have especially great options with denim cutoff shorts!
Also, I personally love buying my denim from Nordstrom because they do such a great job with any alterations. I don’t have much of a booty, but I do have a tummy so sometimes I have to buy a size up for my waist. A lot of times, I’ll be in between a 26 or 27 so I buy the size 27, and just have them take in the waist a tiny bit. There’s nothing more important than being comfortable in your denim so why not buy them from Nordstrom?!
Speaking of comfort, I told y’all I’m more of a jeans and t-shirt girl. That’s why I picked out the softest basic tees to wear with each pair of denim shorts. I think my favorite shirt is the yellow ruffle sleeve top (size down!). Also, I think it’s my favorite outfit out of the three because I’m obsessed with these striped bow slides! That’s another reason I love Nordstrom is because they also have the best shoe selection!
Hopefully, this post will help you find the best summer basics to keep you cute and comfortable this season!
*Thanks Nordstrom for sponsoring this post. All opinions are my own.
