MASCARA MIXOLOGY WITH REVLON
*Thanks to Revlon® at Walgreens for sponsoring this post to promote the #WalgreensMascaraDay campaign. Although I have been compensated, all opinions are my own.
Hey guys! Hope you are all having a fantastic weekend! Typically, I don’t talk much about my beauty routine, but if there is one thing I’m always wearing it’s mascara. I was blessed with long lashes (thanks dad!) so I think they are my best feature. Anytime I get my makeup done professionally the makeup artist always makes a comment about how I have amazing lashes. So that means I’m pretty particular with what mascara I choose to use. Revlon® has been a long time favorite, and with “Walgreens Mascara Day” on Sunday, April 30th, I had to share their newest collection.
The Revlon® mascara collection features five mascaras formulated for every look! You’ve got options for lift, length, volume and definition.
REVLON® MASCARA COLLECTION
Revlon Ultimate All-in-One™ Mascara
Revlon Volume + Length Magnified™ Mascara
Revlon Super Length™ Mascara
Revlon Ultra Volume™ Mascara
Revlon Dramatic Definition™ Mascara
I’ve already got the length covered with my lashes so I’m all about volume and definition. That’s why I’m loving the Revlon Ultra Volume™ Mascara the most out of these new products, and surprise I like pink the most anyway! I wear this mascara on a day-to-day basis, but when I’m going out for an event I do a little “mascara mixology”! First, I apply the Revlon Dramatic Definition™ Mascara (purple cap), and then layer the Revlon Ultra Volume™ Mascara (pink cap). I use the Revlon Dramatic Definition™ Mascara first because the brush has tiered bristles for great lash separation. Then after about 1-2 minutes I layer the Revlon Ultra Volume™ Mascara on top because the brush has triple grooves with short and long bristles so it plumps your lashes for ultimate volume. Together these make the best mascara cocktail for me!
Another mascara cocktail option for length would be to use the Revlon Super Length™ Mascara (green cap) because the tapered tip glides through your lashes reaching the small lashes in the inner corners of your eye. Then you could layer the Revlon Volume + Length Magnified™ Mascara because the magnifying brush gives your lashes amplified volume and length!
When I’m going out with my friends I obviously need a full eye look. I’m personally drawn to a more neutral look so I love the Revlon ColorStay™ Crème Eye Shadow in crème brulee (705) and caramel (710). Together they create the perfect golden eye look. Then I use the Revlon ColorStay 2 in 1 Angled Kajal™ eyeliner which is so amazing for creating that smokey eye. Also, it’s waterproof which is great for me bc I apply it on my inner bottom eyelid. Lastly, I use the Revlon ColorStay™ Brow Pencil to tame my bushy eyebrows.
I’ll admit it never crossed my mind to layer mascaras, but now I’m obsessed with the outcome. I’m definitely hooked on the “mascara mixology” idea because my lashes look so big and beautiful. Have you guys tried cocktailing your mascara? If you haven’t tried creating your own mascara cocktail try it on one eye, and see how good it looks! I think you’ll be quite surprised with how many different looks you can achieve by simply mixing and matching the Revlon® mascaras!
TIP: If your lashes tend to clump together sometimes I’ll put a small drop of water on my finger and rub it on my lashes before I apply my mascara. It helps a ton with keeping them separated!
Tomorrow (April 30th) is the best time to try these Revlon mascaras because it’s BOGO 50% off! If you’re going to be out running errands swing by your local Walgreens and snag a few!
