Berry Chocolate cake

A simple, easy and delicious recipe perfect for Valentine’s Day! The past few years my boyfriend and I have gone out to enjoy the day of LOVE, and I will admit we have indulged in some amazing desserts. Last year we stood in line at Sprinkles for almost an hour just to get two cupcakes…no joke. Although Sprinkles cupcakes are a little piece of heaven, I decided I would make this berry brownie cake in about half the time it would take me to stand in line again for a cupcake. If you are a chocolate lover like me I promise you will love this dessert!

Ingredients:

Heat oven to 350 degrees. Grease 9×11 or 8×8 baking dish with cooking spray. Follow directions on brownie box and cook brownies according to package. Let brownies cool completely for about an hour. In a medium bowl beat cream cheese, sugar and vanilla with electric mixer until smooth. In a small bowl combine strawberry jelly and lemon juice (heat in microwave for about 30 seconds to make jelly smooth). Add strawberries and blueberries to jelly mixture. Top the brownies with the cream cheese mixture and then spread the berries evenly over the top. Chill in refrigerator until ready to serve.
