BLACK AND WHITE CHECK JACKET

When the winter months roll in it’s so hard for me to reach for anything but black, white or gray in my closet. I can’t help it…they are just easy colors to work with! I’ll warn you now…my posts in the month of January might be full of these colors. 😉 At least this black and white check jacket has a pattern to it which makes this neutral outfit pop.

I was on a virtual styling call a few weeks ago, and the girl asked me how she could mix up her basic wardrobe without moving away from her favorite colors? I’ll let you guess what her favorite colors were…black and white! My advice was adding texture to different pieces in her wardrobe like my check sweater jacket. Even these black coated skinny jeans are a great idea, and they are crazy comfortable! You could even add texture with fringe or feathers, or mix it up with a soft pattern on a basic black blouse to give the outfit a little more depth.
