THREE WAYS TO WEAR COWBOY BOOTS

Howdy y’all! Haha just typing that sounds funny in my head. So I’m definitely not a country girl, but I do officially own a pair of cowboy boots. I think it’s a requirement when you move to Texas! So with the Houston Rodeo in full swing I thought it would be a good time to show you all “Three Ways to Wear Your Cowboy Boots.”

RODEO OUTFIT #1 – THE DENIM SKIRT

I recently wrote a post on the denim skirt trend for spring. I remember wearing a denim skirt when I was a little girl, don’t you? However, I haven’t been super into this comeback until the edgier denim skirt appeared like this frayed hem denim skirt that is only $35!

So if you have an old jean skirt pull it on out of your closet because it looks great with your cowboy boots. You can wear it with a plaid shirt for a more traditional rodeo look, or dress it up like I’ve done here with this cute off the shoulder top from Cavender’s.

RODEO OUTFIT #2 – THE JEAN JACKET

I’m always cold so a jean jacket is another favorite item to wear with cowboy boots. It’s so easy to throw on with a casual dress like this blush dress from Cavender’s. It’s definitely an outfit you could wear all day at the rodeo, and then out for dinner.

Some of you may be thinking blue denim is the only denim jacket out there. Not true! I bought the cutest light pink jean jacket last year, and I wear it all the time. If I wasn’t wearing this blush dress, I could see myself wearing it with a simple white or black dress for a night out at the rodeo.

RODEO OUTFIT #3 – THE PERFECT JEAN

You may be sensing a theme here… Denim, denim, denim. It’s not hard to realize denim and cowboy boots make a perfect match. That’s why my last outfit is a classic boot and jean combo. I’d always advise skinny jeans with your boots so you don’t have extra fabric sticking out at the top.
