THE CAMEL COAT TREND

THE CAMEL COAT TREND

Okay let me just start by saying I have a “love hate” relationship with the camel coat trend, haha. At first, I couldn’t stand it because I dated this guy who wore a long camel coat and all of my friends made so much fun of him. Literally, they called him “Home Alone Dad”! Anyone know what I’m talking about?!

However, the camel coat clearly isn’t going anywhere and now that I’ve found one that actually looks cute I’m on board with this trend. The key is finding one that isn’t to boxy or oversized. I finally found one at Nordstrom which is where I should’ve looked from the beginning. There are very few occasions when I can’t find what I’m looking for at Nordstrom! And, their Nordstrom made brands are always so on point.

This is actually a really great coat that can be worn with almost any outfit. The easiest outfit combination with a camel coat is white or black. When I was in Kansas City, I wore it with a white turtleneck sweater and jeans. Over Thanksgiving this week, I kept things a bit more casual with black leggings, a black sweatshirt, and combat boots.

Another thing to look for with a camel coat is buttons. I think the buttons make the coat look better for sure! Also, if you are going to wear it during these cold winter months you want to be able to bundle up, duh. There are a few without buttons I do like which I’ve linked below!

The camel coat really is a timeless and classic piece to add to your wardrobe! I think if you added a plaid scarf with this outfit it would be so cute. You’ll definitely see me wearing this one all winter long!
