After three amazing days on the slopes in Park Cities, Utah I must say this snow bunny was spent. However, this trip couldn’t have come at a more perfect time. Even though it wasn’t a “sit by the beach and drink all day” trip it was definitely nice to sit by the fire, eat and drink as much as I wanted, ski on an absolutely amazing mountain, and enjoy good company. Things have been non-stop for me lately so this trip was much needed.

The Canyons

Our ride from Salt Lake City to our condo in Park Cities was a little tight to say the least. Sitting in the back seat with four peoples luggage (keep in mind girls don’t pack lightly) and $200 worth of groceries isn’t the most comfortable ride. Thank goodness the scenery on this drive was much more pleasant than my usual drive to Oklahoma. I was a little nervous going into this trip because I am still a new-bee at snowboarding. I may not be able to get my “toe-side” down, but let’s face it I really don’t want to go down the mountain backwards!

Top of Mountain

We chose to snowboard at The Canyons mountain and we could not have had more perfect weather. I have never seen a bigger mountain with more beautiful runs than this one. I was literally going down the mountain over and under bridges and through peoples backyards. Even though we didn’t ski on the Park Cities mountain we did venture over to Main St. one night for dinner. If you ever do get a chance to visit Park Cities I would highly suggest visiting this area. Even though I was freezing my butt off walking around I didn’t care because the atmosphere was so much fun!

Park City Utah

It’s always nice taking a trip to the mountains considering Dallas doesn’t have much of a winter. However, the continuous exercise and pain I endured after not working out hardly at all before this trip I started to remember I’m not meant for the cold. My legs have never been so sore in my entire life, but it was definitely worth it!
