I think my “Muse Monday” series has been my favorite from this year. This industry has gained a lot of new bloggers over the last year which in all honesty means more competition. However, it’s not really a competition. Yes, we do compete for clicks through our links that we post in order to make commission on sales. BUT… it’s never a competition about “who wore it better”.
- We are NOT celebrities
- We ARE bloggers who started because of our own unique style
So that leads me to the ladies I wanted to feature for today’s “Muse Monday” post! I chose these ladies because we recently all had the same idea for this winter white outfit featuring this midi skirt and sweater. I literally had this outfit hanging on my clothing rack for almost 2 weeks waiting to shoot photos because I wanted to share at least 2 outfits with you all for inspiration. And I know you all have really enjoyed the “work wear” posts where I show how to wear items in several different ways 🙂 Then I saw Fashion Jackson and Styled Snapshots wearing the exact same outfit!
FASHION JACKSON
So I’ve actually known Amy basically since I started blogging… We met at a blogger event, and then ended up getting to know each other on my first trip to NYFW! Which is crazy because that was 5 years ago!! We looked so young and my style was very much evolving at that point, ha.
I’ve always loved Amy’s simple and chic style because I’m a neutral gal too. If you ever need good basics then you have to follow her. I’ve found some good stuff from her, but just wish I had her height! She used to be a Dallas blogger, but moved out to San Diego which I might be going in February so hopefully I’ll get to grab a coffee and catch up with her! She was always so so so mice every time we would run into each other.
STYLED SNAPSHOTS
I’ve never met Kendall, but I’ve been following her since I started blogging too. She like an “OG” in my opinion. Her style is also very simple, casual and always super cute. No joke if I’m having a day where I can’t think of what to wear (it happens!) I’ll go look at her account for inspiration. She always makes everything look so effortless…. And, she is a mom now! Ummm let’s hope I’m as cute as her when I have kids.
Since I’ve been to NYC 4 times this year I’ve kept a close eye on her account for recommendations and spots to go! She is how I found out about Rolf’s which is at the top of my list for this next Christmas in NYC trip. Who knows maybe I’ll run into her this time!
