So excited to share my latest home decor reveal with you all! It’s time to talk living room decor. This is where all the laughter on “Bachelor Monday” nights happens. I’ve slowly accumulated larger pieces of furniture as I got older, and had a bit more money to invest in nicer items. My couch was the first big investment I made because I spend so much time on it. When I moved into my new place, I knew I wanted a great piece of art of photograph to hang above the couch. That’s when Fred entered the picture… I found Fred on Minted.com, and new it would be the perfect item to make my place feel a little “Texan”. After all, I’ve been in Texas about 12 years now!

Well…when I had my housewarming party over OU/TX football weekend my friends didn’t like Fred very much. After some stiff drinks (thanks dad) a few of my friends got the idea that they should turn the picture upside down. If you’re from Oklahoma you know why they did it! After they got Fred turned upside down and propped on the back of the couch right as my dad started to walk away it started falling! Luckily I had also had a few drinks so I wasn’t quite as pissed as I would’ve been… I guess it makes for a great story, right?!

The next thing I really wanted to add in the living room was more seating. Our girls night group is getting quite large so I wanted more spots for people to sit, and if I ever entertain I wanted more seating too. I knew I wanted two chairs to frame the window, and I immediately fell in love with these spindle chairs! I decided on white because I knew it would look great up again these navy velvet curtains from Pottery Barn (sold out, but linked similar!).

I usually have my morning coffee in one chair while Jaxson sits in the other chair and watches me eat breakfast. If I sit on the couch he is usually in my lap begging for food!

Coffee table decor can change so much depending on the season! I’m not sure how many times I’ve changed the decor on this table, but I finally found this gorgeous black and white tray and decorative box that give the table some life. My dad isn’t a fan of the gold and mirrored look, but this was such a good bargain find from the Wisteria Outlet here in Dallas I can’t give it up!

One of the other big purchases I made when I moved into my new place was this beautiful wood tv stand. I actually saw it on another bloggers site so I can’t take credit for this find! I love the mirrored doors, and the height was perfect for hiding the storage door under the stairs! It’s a great piece for storage, but I have a little secret about this tv stand… It stores all my wine, haha!

You may notice my home decor style is very similar to my fashion style…simple, sophisticated, and chic. I clearly love neutral colors, but I did learn you need to have some color in your house. I chose navy for my accent color because it’s almost like a neutral… However, it can stand out on its own without being too overwhelming!

Even though some of my stuff isn’t available anymore I tried to link similar items! I hope you enjoyed my living room decor reveal, and there will be more posts soon!
