HOW TO STYLE A PAJAMA TOP
Thank goodness it’s Friday!! I just got back in town from a quick 48 hour trip in San Francisco with some of my blogger besties. I was beyond excited about this trip because the weather in San Fran was perfect…like 70 degrees during the day, and 60s at night!
Since I’ve made several purchases from the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale, I was pumped to be able to wear some of my fall purchases like this pajama top and burgundy suede pumps. Usually, I have to wait 2 months before I can wear most of what I buy during the Nordstrom sale considering it’s a million degrees here in Texas. However, hopefully you all have learned by now that whenever this sale comes around each year you have to snag these amazing fall finds!!

I’m sure many of you have seen the pajama top trend is getting very popular. However, some of these pajama tops can look a little too casual in my opinion and can be hard to style. You don’t want someone looking at you and thinking, “Did she forget to get dressed today?”. That’s why I love this classic black and white pajama top. It’s so simple because it’s really just a basic white blouse, but the black piping totally transforms this top into an effortlessly chic look.
5 TIPS FOR STYLING A PAJAMA TOP
- Stick with solid colors instead of patterns and prints (that’s actually for your bedroom)
- Jeans are always a good option
- Neutral shoes – typically I’d wear a classic pair of black or nude pumps, but if you want a pop of color these burgundy suede pumps won’t overdo this outfit
- Keep the accessories minimal
- Grab your favorite classic handbag
Basically everything I just mentioned is my recipe for the perfect “simple, sophisticated, and chic” outfit! It’s the perfect way to rock new trends, and not get any interesting looks while you’re out 🙂
Don’t forget this is the LAST WEEKEND TO SHOP THE NORDSTROM ANNIVERSARY SALE!!!
*Thanks Nordstrom for sponsoring this post. All opinions are my own.
I really like the casual, sophisticated look of this outfit! The pumps add the dressiness and the ripped jeans add that edginess. I would have never guessed that you were wearing a pajama top.
