DENVER CITY GUIDE

Okay, so this is my first little travel video I put together all by myself!! Since I’m starting to add more travel to the blog I figured I should start including some video into my posts. If a picture is worth 1,000 words then a video is even better, right?

It’s not the best, but hey I’m still pretty proud of the footage I got while we were on our weekend trip in Denver! What do y’all think? And what would you want to see for 2018 travel guides?!

WHAT TO SEE

Union Station: I wish I lived in Denver just so I could come here every day! I’d work here all the time, and then enjoy happy hour at the Terminal Bar. They have tons of little shops throughout, including this flower shop I want to bring to Dallas. Grab a bite at one of the restaurants or just hang out and play some shuffleboard.

Larimer Square: The most festive street in Denver. It’s not very long, but you could spend hours hopping from restaurant to restaurant just so you can enjoy the area.

Red Rocks: Not open during the winter, but had to put it on the list!

Coors Field: If you’re a sports fan then I feel like this is a must!

WHERE TO EAT + DRINK

Miracle On Little Raven Bar (or Wayward): Y’all… This adorable pop-up bar was my absolute favorite thing we did in Denver! Unfortunately, it’s only around during Christmas but the attached restaurant is at the top of my list for food spots.

Rijoa: While we were wandering around on Larimer Square we decided to stop for a drink at one of the local restaurants. This place won us over because of their super cute patio and tater tots.

Denver Beer Co.: Definitely a local spot! My friend lives nearby so I knew the area would be good. They had some amazing seasonal beers on tap that weren’t too over the top. Like the Graham Cracker Porter which would’ve been so yummy with s’mores.

Avanti: Best view of Downtown Denver! This place is like an indoor food truck bar. There is something to eat for everyone along with an amazing upstairs patio. This was the first place I went when I was visiting my friend this summer, and I’ll always go back.

Linger: Another amazing food concept! It’s pretty eclectic with a menu you may be turned off by when you first read it… However, I promise if you are open to trying new things you’ll LOVE it! **Be sure to save room for dessert at Little Man Ice Cream downstairs!!! Totally worth the wait in line!!

Ratio Beerworks: Another really fun Denver brewery with live music! Great outdoor patio area!

Williams & Graham: The coolest speakeasy I’ve ever been to! We had to wait a while, but it was SO worth it. Their drinks were some of the best I’ve ever had, but they even had french fries that were to die for…

WHERE TO STAY

Denver Art Hotel: This is only my second time in Dever, and I stayed with a friend this summer so I wasn’t exactly sure which hotel to pick. I’m so happy we partnered with the Art Hotel! They’ve got amazing pieces of art throughout the hotel so it’s like a museum. Random…but my favorite thing about the hotel was the ceiling in the valet drive!

The location is a quick Uber ride from almost everywhere you need to go. The staff was so friendly, and always welcomed us by name when we came back from our daily outings. Also, it’s reasonably priced which is most important in my book!

  1. Wow, great article! Video was amazing! I visited Denver last summer, but after this article, I want to visit this place in winter! Is very cold there? I’m from Canada, so I’m used to cold.
