Wow… Seriously I’m not sure where to start. I can’t believe it’s been 2 years since One Small Blonde went from a few fun casual posts every once in a while to a real growing blog and brand! The only way this happened was because of YOU my amazing followers, friends, and family. THANK YOU. THANK YOU. THANK YOU for all the support!

One Small Blonde only started because so many of my friends and even random people would ask me where I bought something I was wearing (sounds like a lot of other bloggers I know ha). I would get so excited when someone did ask me because most of the time it was an item I got a heck of a deal on so I was happy to tell them where I bought it! Then I started thinking…this would be much easier if I could just tell them to go to a blog (and now shop via Instagram!). Little did I know that it would turn into an actual business… Although, I really should have known considering I run a digital marketing agency and help other businesses market themselves on a daily basis.

As the blog has grown, my style has evolved too. When someone asks me about my style I can sum it up in three words: simple, sophisticated, chic. First and foremost, I’m all about keeping things simple. My thought is, “Life is complicated. Your wardrobe shouldn’t be.”. You shouldn’t be stressed about what to wear or concerned about how you look to someone else. I’ve definitely learned that lesson over the last few years, and now I wear what I want because I actually want to wear it (oh but it better be comfortable!). The sophisticated part is because I have to keep a level of maturity with my style considering I do run my own business. I’d never want my clients to think I don’t take things seriously. Chic is because everyone needs a little glam in their life. Don’t be afraid to wear a fantastic statement piece, or dress up just because you want to! Why do you need a reason to look and feel amazing?!

Last week I went to an event with Nordstrom, and The Bumby’s were there giving their ‘fair and honest appraisal of your appearance’. They pretty much nailed it for me!

  1. Happy Blogiversary! I love the pictures and yes I too started my blog for a similar reason (although mine was food related!). I love your style and as a fellow petite (aka shorty!) I always enjoy seeing what you wear next.
